Vision
What we see together as a church determines who we are. The scriptures tell us:
“God’s secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centred on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ everything in heaven and on earth.” Ephesians 1:9,10 NLT
God has called his people, the Church, to be part of seeing this plan fulfilled. We are longing and moving towards the day when “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” Habakkuk 2:14 NIV
Though at this point we are relatively small in number we are a company of people committed to seeing God’s kingdom find its fullest expression in Blackpool and the surrounding areas. We are expecting very significant growth. “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.” Isaiah 60: 22 NIV
The Bible teaches us that as part of God’s worldwide Church, as a local body we have a vital part to play in seeing that happen:
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church growing in authority, announcing and extending the Kingdom of God, corporately and through its individual members becoming a church of a thousand.
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church maturing, in love with Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit and firmly established on the Word of God.
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church equipping and sending its people to be Christ to our neighbours and to the world.
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church alive in worship, living genuine, sincere Christian lives, enjoying life, fulfilled in service and transformational in effect.
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church full of people who love and care for one another, are mutually accountable and are committed to serving God together.
- We see Blackpool & Fylde Church living in total freedom and security, served by anointed spiritual leadership with apostles, prophets and other ministries operating in the life of the church.
